M(i|u)x Tape

M(i|u)x Tape I ran across this, and found it interesting: Mux Tapes. Create an account, upload up to 12 or so songs, and share it with people. I took a sampling of what has lately been in heavy rotation, and ordered it alphabetically.

Here’s mine, so go forth and enjoy.

And if you create one, let me know - I want to hear what you’ve been listening to! A nice feature I’ve noticed is that the tapes have RSS feeds - so I’ll automagically know when your tape has been updated.

Dethklok is a noticeable omission from this list due to lack of source material on this computer - a situation that is guaranteed to be remedied in short order.

The current playlist:

  • Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass - This Guy’s in Love With You
  • The Budos Band - King Cobra
  • Johnny Cash - God’s Gonna Cut You Down
  • Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - Messiah Ward
  • Deepakalypse - driftin
  • dj BC - Bogalusa Shimmy
  • Firewater - Hey Clown
  • High On Fire - Turk
  • Juvenile - Get Ya Hustle On
  • Scarlett Johansson - Town with no Cheer
  • Ulver - Waltz Of King Karl
  • Ween - King Billy

Dear Will, I am a friend of Hannah Holden (from Austria where she studied for a year or so) and she is not answering emails since a couple of months now - was wondering if you know if she is up and well or not at all. Getting slightly worried.

That comment even somehow fits, since she always was a great fan of mixed tapes - she tried to make me understand that passion, someone who knows Mixed tapes as Elvis Costello and Dire Straits recordings from my father which I used to listen to as a 5-10 year old. By the time I mixed my own, the CD started to get out of date already …

    Hey Willcore,
I can’t get the link to show you’re songs, it comes up as “0 songs, 0 minutes”?

Hrm, looks like after x time of inactivity, it resets. Interesting.

Will just have to upload some other stuff.
